LAUNCH

The AT1 all-terrain shoe

01 · CONTEXT

A trail shoe built to be looked at closely.

Morrow launches with the AT1, an all-terrain shoe built from engineered mesh, bonded support, responsive foam, and a grip outsole. It's made for rough ground and worn just as often in the city. The customer is 25 to 40, buys fewer, better things, and notices how they're made.

02 · THE OPPORTUNITY

Outdoor footwear usually shouts.

Most of the category sells extremes: summit shots, mud, speed, and adrenaline. Or it sells a trend, with trail shoes styled as costume. Neither speaks to a customer who values the engineering itself. There was room to present a technical shoe the way luxury presents craftsmanship: calm, exact, and up close.

03 · THE IDEA

Precision, off-road.

The campaign treats every part of the AT1 like a finely made object: the mesh, the bonded overlays, the molded foam, the lugs underfoot. It studies each detail with the scrutiny of a watch campaign, then puts the shoe on real rock to prove it. The engineering is the story.

04 · THE CREATIVE DIRECTION

Stone, signal orange, and hard light.

Color

Granite gray, off-white, and the shoe's signal orange. Nothing else competes.

Light

Hard natural sun, raking across surfaces to reveal texture in mesh and rock.

Environment

Real terrain: boulders, scree, weathered concrete. No studio backdrops for the campaign images.

Materials

Engineered mesh, bonded support, molded foam, and lugged rubber, each given its own close study.

Motion

Slow, directional camera moves. Controlled, never frantic.

Casting

Runners and hikers 25 to 40, chosen for ease rather than intensity.

Composition

Low angles and macro crops that give the shoe scale and reward a closer look.

Typography

A condensed technical sans with spec-sheet callouts, precise and understated.

05 · PROCESS

From engineering to image.

The direction started with the shoe's construction. Each technical feature became a visual chapter with its own crop, light, and texture, so the campaign could explain the product without a spec sheet.
